As part of the Szeniale festival in Gelsenkirchen-Ueckendorf, Philine Herrlein and Oliver Bedorf present the documentary sound and movement performance *waschen schneiden hoeren* (“wash cut listen”), originally developed in Cologne in 2018. Sounds from a hair salon and excerpts from an interview with a hairdresser form the basis for the choreography, in which field recordings are played back on several illuminated boomboxes that are moved through the space. The hair salon becomes a stage.
